He goes into depth about his career - The Radiators & The Pogues etc. I am by no means a professional interviewer, but it is an interesting watch. Also would someone know of the best way to get it out there?

It is actually in video format, it shot high quality and is about an hour and a half long. I would like to post it somewhere everyone could get a gander. So any suggestions welcome.

Easiest solution is to create a YouTube account and "verify" it. That will allow you to upload movies more than 15 minutes long.

Another easy solution is to push to Vimeo.

Ah right, you did ask if anybody was "interested in seeing it", quite clearly. Sorry, my bad!

In case anyone was wanting to pay their respects, we went to Dardistown Cemetery over the holidays and found that his plot is H30 where his father is also buried. Phil's name hasn't been added to the gravestone yet, so it just says Philip Brendan Ryan, which is his father's name. Phil's real last name is Ryan, as you know. Dardistown is right next to the airport so there are Ryanair airplanes flying past above, and it almost makes you wonder if that was why he and his father were buried there, to make you feel like they're smiling down on you. The coincidence is just too funny and sweet.

A picture of the stone for locating purposes is here:

I was just reading about Phil's Dad's book, Lost Theatres of Dublin. A judicious and dishonest man could probably compile a great book from Phil's answers to questions on here, but it's still a real shame that no publisher offered him the necessary money to get a memoir out.

He might have mentioned on here that they did, or it was at least suggested but he was disinclined, at least at the time.

He would have written the definitive book on the pogues. The excellent books by Fearnley and Clerk told us what happened, but Chevron would have told us what it meant.

Yep! It's a pity that Philip didn't get the chance to write his own memoirs, not just as a member of The Pogues, but all the other stuff,Agnes Bernelle,Elvis Costello,The Radiators, not forgetting his time as a Hot Press 'hack' and working in Rock On record shop.Maybe there is an aspiring author out there who is prepared to write a biography,it wouldn't be the same of course and i would not want to read an UN- authorised biography!Maybe in a few years time, who knows?

St James Cagney Day doesn't quite seem the same this year. RIP Mr C. Hope you've got a good party going on.
