Over the years Shane has covered quite a few songs, Whats everybody's favourite?
Personally, mine is his cover of 'Angel of Death' by Hank Williams

Apart from the "trad" stuff, probably "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda".

How about „Her Father Didn’t Like Me Anyway“? :) Shane brings a whole new dimension to the song with his performance. (And maybe even his own personal experience? ;))

I'll go with Medley even though it is sort of cheating since it is 3 traditional songs lumped into one. But what a track!

If we aren't including Trad songs Cracklin' Rosie would be my choice or when The Pogues covered Darklands in the 80's! That one is even better even tho the sound quality on the bootleg I have is piss poor. Man what a performance. I just crank up the volume.

Excellent choice fellas. I looked around to see if Hank Williams ever recorded it and couldn't find anything. Maybe he never got around to it because he died. I believe he was 29 when he died and he died with a bottle of whiskey in his hand on the way to a gig in the backseat of a car. Hank was a brilliant songwriter but I don't think that's all that drew Shane to his work!

Excellent choice and I think one of Shane's most heartfelt vocals.
