Sorry, I meant censored. As in the lyrics for Red Roses for me. In the article about the broadcast ban it seemed like James Fearnley said that the lyrics of "Transmetropolitan" have been "edited"....

There's probably nobody more disappointed at what has become of the pogues than me because of all the (imo) insulting re releases but if that were to be the title of next years inevitable compilation I will be first in line to buy :P

Shame ,I had visions of Alan "Hagos/Haggis" Haggarty & the other lads from Senser being involved with the remixing.
If your spelling & typos are as bad and frequent as mine it may be a idea to register as you came always edit them.
Welcome seanpat.

Think there have been a few early Pogues songs that have been subject to a "radio edit", Transmetropolitan being just one of them.

From Amazon UK, it's $54.91 to the US (minus VAT, add shipping).

It will have to get a little cheaper if I decide to buy one.

I calculate at $57.28 canadian, incl. shipping, which does work out to $7.16 per disc, which actually isn't bad, i suppose. For $20 a disc i would pay more for just the three i want.

Still, would have been nice if they'd ALSO included a disc with the b-sides and "Poguetry", then it would be a complete set, and i could sell my 2004 remasters to subsidize this purchase.

Yes, I agree 100% with you. Is a bit of money to spend to have it all in triplicate.

Last time i pre-ordered anything (Pogues Live at Olympia) they sent me many emails changing the date many times. In the end, it came earlier than the original estimated delivery date.

Might've actually bought this if it included the bonus tracks available on earlier releases. But it doesn't. Would probably buy the remixed albums and the Strummer concert if they were sold separately. But they're not being sold separately. This is a really poorly thought out release.

Fun trivia - The release date has been pushed back to Dec 19.
