Actually 4 of them were there at the funeral. And, as has been said, 2 of the other 3 live very, very far away.

I really think its in bad taste for anyone to be sniping because only 3 of Philips colleagues attended his funeral.Philip was well loved and much respected not just by Pogues and Radiators fans, but by others from the theatre and the various projects he was involved in.I think it would be great if anyone had any stories about Phlip Chevron that they would like to share.I only knew Philip through his music, there must be loads of fans out who knew him,or maybe only met him once. So, no more sniping, bonnie lads and lasses, please.

Philip has touched so many lives. His talent, intelligence, wit, humour, kindness and compassion - to name a few of his qualities - will stay with us all forever. SO many of his past posts to peruse. Thank you Philip, beautiful man.

Agreed, and it is. It will also not be tolerated.

Any grumbling about who didn't attend, or wild speculation about why, will be removed. Persisting will get a polite invitation to stop. After that the invitations will become impolite.

Please have enough respect for Philip's friends, family and colleagues to not get into a crass and unwelcome game of speculation and innuendo. Thanks.

I've been busy with shutdown related writing the past few days, and didn't hear about Phil's passing until Friday. So I apologize that this comes late.

I did just want to express my sadness and my appreciation for Phil, though. He was, indeed, always a gentleman to everyone. And an amazing talent. The world is a little bit colder now.

But mostly I wanted to pass my condolences to those who knew him well, loved ones and bandmates. And especially those here at Medusa, like DzM (and many others), who interacted with him on a near daily basis. He made this place special, and you guys are in my thoughts.
I like this bad set and I like getting drunk at luncheon.

Yesterday I saw the full DVD's from Paris and Brixton. This one made me very sad. 3 of the people who participate at that show passed away already. Joe, Kirsty and Philip.

I didn't knew them personally but their music was and still is very importante to me.

This is exactly the type of circumstance where Philip is so missed on this board. He would have (at least in my imagination) diffused the situation with a witty remark that on one hand explained the situation, and on the other humanized the foibles of those involved.

An article in Portugal.

http://blitz.sapo.pt/morreu-philip-chev ... ues=f89174

The link to youtbe has a beautifull version with Philip singing. Also there is a beautifull tribute from Thousand Sails in youtube.
I would like to have all versions from my fav Pogues's song. If anyone wants to share lets open a topic. I'll share the few I have.
