It just makes you realize that people are out there having big fun.![]()
Rapa Nui, Tahiti, China, Greece & Jamaica are where I wanna be.
Peru would be cool too. Though the hotels of Lima advertising their added security for transport from the airport is kinda scary.Man on Fire!

Ha! I'm not going anywhere, either. I will be right here waiting for y'all to visit San Antonio. Mr. & Mrs CdnSteve were here a week ago... who's next?

There must be a bar somewhere DZM gets beer in.
Wait a minute, you guys got there before me, right.
DzM wrote:A must-get is Dramamine. That's a long twisty road.
Stop in San Luis Obispo. Visit Paso Robles and drink wine. See Hurst Castle. Check out San Simion. Stop in Carmel and Monterey (while there visit the aquarium). Smoke some wicked bud in Santa Cruz. Visit Alcatraz, 'cuz why the hell not. Drive through Napa Valley (though it's a bit north of where you're going). Try not to spend too much time in the central valley. Hot as hell there. Enjoy Yosemite. That place is majestic. Visit Hechece if you feel so inclined. It is the same size as Yosemite, but it damned at the mouth to create a reservoir for the SF area (there has been an on-again, off-again effort since it was dammed to get the dam removed and restore it to its natural state).
Have a fun road trip! Just remember, it's a big state. That's a lot of driving. Give yourself plenty of time to not be rushed.
Sadly my work schedule here in Philly is making it look like I can't meet and have beers with NJR.

Check list included Hearst castle, drink wine, dip into the Pacific, Alcatraz, maybe a Dodger game.
Might there be a Dr I could see fo my chronic back pain while i'm out there? We're taking 10 days to wander and unwind.
