Why Does Shane Drink So Much?

Post Wed Dec 07, 2005 11:15 am

Is it because he's depressed...I mean what is the real reason he gets dead drunk every night?

aha, let's wait till Mr.MacGowan comes here and clarifies the question.
I suppose he will start with "I don't drink much. I drink enough" and be absolutely right...

I wonder how comes that nobody has raised a question like "what was Shane dreaming about last night" so every fora member and guest could suggest their own variant...
Who can answer besides Shane himself? The funniest thing is even Shane doesn't have an answer too maybe, i don't mean a standard witty retort to obnoxious journalist or caring friend but the only true and honest one...
So all our genius versions and ideas is a pure speculation, nothing else.

PS what really absorbs me is why people love to discuss others' habits and can't mind their own business...

He walks around drunk 24/7...Is that normal to you?

And to verify it i could really care less why he drinks seriously but i would like to know what the 'forum' members thought of the subject so say i met MacGowan im not gonna ask him why he drinks. So there was no disrespect to Shane whatsoever in this thread.

You've been stalking him and counting the hours, yeah?

What is normal?
"Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it." --- Ellen Goodman

What do Ellen's morals have to do with her somewhat cynical view of day-to-day life "Marty"?
“I know all those people that were in the film [...] But that’s when they were young and strong and full of life, you know?”

Quote, please. Precise quote.

Don't worry, I'm sure "Ellen" wouldn't mind.

Would you prefer if we started calling names instead?
