Mr. Chevron, what about Croatia? Last summer I remember you asked to be invited again....

Indeed we did, but unfortunately our agents and promoters also have to take routing and our availability into account.

Thanks for your quick response (and for always tending this forum). Croatia always waits for you, maybe your agents take next time Split into account?! And by the way - how did you ever get that triple time beat at the end of the Turkish Song of the Damned? And still got 111 more questions to you (could be a book title...)
Anyway, see you tomorrow in Berlin (will there be a support?)

@Mister Chevron & The Other Pogues :

Many thanks for the great concert in Cologne. I was there and it was the third time that I've enjoyed the music and the spirit of the band.

It was maybe a little bit short, and some people are complaining about that.

But what I think the most important thing is, is that we all must be happy that the Pogues are performing for us, and that we can enjoy the band.

Not only thru the CD's, DVD's and Youtube, but also Live on Stage.

Hope that I can enjoy you and the band for many years to come.

I have The Pogues in my heart forever.

Hope to see you soon again, and hopefully also in my country (Netherlands).

Wish you and the other Pogues members all the best and succes for the forthcoming shows.

Kind Regards,

Raymond

Just a note on the length of the show. Obviously we've cut "Thousands Are Sailing" because of my vocal troubles. We've no way of knowing how long these will persist, at least until I receive further medical attention next week. There is a contingency plan for it to be sung by another member of the band but this is unlikely to happen on these current shows. But nothing else has been cut. The show is otherwise exactly how it was in Australia earlier this year. "Matilda" was rested after Stockton and "Lullaby of London" restored in its place. Tonight "Young Ned of the Hill" was added to the show.

My theory is that "Thousands" occupies more "space" in the show than its 5 minute duration would appear to indicate. This, combined with the early showtimes on this tour, is giving the impression that the show is substantially shorter than it is. We're doing all we can about this but your patience would be appreciated. We did not actually know until late last week that my role on this tour would be entirely mute. Believe me, no one is more frustrated than I am.

It was a great shame that your vocal troubles meant the omission of Thousands at Stockton, but I for one would prefer that the song is sung by you, it's your song and we'll wait for you to recover.

Well, we'll see, won't we. The song has so far withstood the singing of both myself and Mr Mac, I daresay it can survive another interpretation.

Hopefully Terry is warming up his vocals for Paris 8) It's the song i've missed most from recent tours.

Philip, any chance you you and the guys could do the extended, dub-reggae version for the DVD. Go on, get Terry, Daryl and James to jam with you like back in the day..........http://youtu.be/zncOxDaQrgo 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Thanks for the explanation, Mr. C. Hope your health will be better, again.

Looking forward for Yound ned of the hill, very tired now, have to start my 600kms now to reach Berin in time :)

But one more question:
Why Young ned? I read something about terry was not able to sing anymore, a vouple of years ago?

And why no other songs like Muirsheen Durking, Whiskey Youre the devil, Waxies Dargle f.e.? Its because of Shanes contract? :)
And if so...Dingle Regatte, Battle of Brisbane?

So...lets go, see you tonight. ImageImage
