Having now finished the book I find it hard to know how a second book would be written. Absolutely brilliant though and I love the way that its totally from Jams point of view and in no point does James even attempt to say that he understands Shane. Also im sure theres loads of other stuff that James could have put about what Shane was consuming or his behaviour which would have made the book more lewd but probably a better seller. I think its with great credit to James that he didnt

I'm wondering if it is worth is just to get it from Amazon UK and pay a bit more in shipping than wait until the end of summer to get it in the US....

Yes.

And in fact looking at Amazons .ca and .co.uk i see there are less expensive copies for sale from the vendors. So it'll probably be cheaper anyway.

For whatever it's worth Amazon US has the Kindle version available for ~$10. As an experiment I bought it this morning. It showed up on my Kindle about two minutes later. Amazon makes Kindle software available for the web, for Android devices, and for iOS devices.

Yeah, it's not the same as having a physical copy, but it does get you the words damn fast.

I got a used copy from Amazon for twenty dollars. There are still a bunch of used copies for around twenty dollars that ship from the US. You're probably better off getting one of those if you can.

The book deflates. We can be sure. The book is extremely well written and uplifting - we can be sure. James Joyce is the hero here and not much else. We can be sure.

Fearnly is the hero we can be sure. Thank Christ MacGowan is not the hero (we will never hear the end of it) although he himself has not sacrificed. Macgowan has been sacrificed by the sake of the band. As such - he deserves recognition Fearnley - Not this Manchester hyperbole:P Sure, you can pick out the instrumental of "Oh Pretty Woman" - I'd rather you pick out a proper balance (put these in italics) than pick on the old miserable bastard who might just .
