"Unfinished Sympathy" by Scott b. Sympathy, a 1998 album that I didn't even know existed until a few weeks ago. Exciting to hear something "new" after all these years. Has Ashley MacIsaac on fiddle, too!

Dirty Rotten Shame by Stephen Hogg. Features the better part of Fred Eaglesmith's backing band, including Willie P. Bennett on mando, harmonica, and backing vocals. Hogg's vocie may bring to mind a young Dylan (which is better than an old Dylan), but his songwriting is clearly what caught Eaglesmith's eye. Or ear. One more songwriter notch in the "Southern Ontario is the new Nashville" argument.

I seem now to have bought a second copy of While Mortals Sleep, Kate Rusby's latest album of South Yorkshire versions of traditional Christmas songs. Don't know quite how that happened. It's probably me age.

This second CD still doesn't contain a Yorkshire version of FoNY. Which is sad, as I'd sort of like to hear it.

"It was Christmas Eve, pet, in t' drunk tank."
"You were lucky! We used to dream of 'aving Christmas Eve in t' drunk tank..."
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.

It's not really a Ring-a-Ding-Ding album though, is it? It's more of a Gonna-Get-Drunk-and-then-Slash-my-Wrists-if-Ava-doesn't-Return-my-Phone-Calls type album, really.

Is that the sound the timers on those old ovens make, then?
