There are so many reasons to hate west ham. The pornographers, Brady, employing The Imposter, the way they didn't sack The Imposter, Cheating Sheff Utd, their fans etc. Wigan did football a favour. I hope you beat stoke too.

Well I can't help being stuck with the club. Having been born just up the road, it's only right to do so. (Although that's something that doesn't seem to matter to most "fans" of, say, for example, erm, Man U.)

But I haven't liked them much recently. The pornographers are a disgrace, have no idea about running a football club and would be better off going back to whatever it is they do so well. The club's been run terribly for a few years now.

But the reason West Ham got relegated -- and deserved to get relegated -- is basically because they were crap at playing football. Not some kind of weird karmic retribution for things that happened a few years ago. In the same way that Sheffield United got relegated because they were crap at playing football. If they'd recognised that and begun to address it back then, rather than feeling all hurt and hard-done-by and being distracted by dragging the game through the courts, they might not be in the situation they're in now. Well past time to get over it, I think. Though I have to admit it was a tad comical to see that old Colin W. was one of the bookies' favourites to take over the doomed task of managing West Ham.

They were down long before that late N'Zogbia goal. (Which was a pleasure, as he's been a mainstay of my fantasy league team for most of the season.) We'll miss playing Man U, as we beat them more often than we should. But I for one won't really miss the Premier League.

My predictions for the final round of Division 1 matches, as they relate to the interesting end of the division. For what they're worth, which is probably very little:
Wigan will beat Stoke, who have gone into a post-losing-cup-final decline, and are mostly injured anyway.
Blackpool will beat Man U Reserves.
Birmingham will fail to beat Spurs.
Wolves will beat Blackburn.

Which will all mean that the honour of accompanying West Ham into Division 2 will be shared by Birmingham (thus completing a nice porno-related double, if that doesn't sound too lewd) and Blackburn, for no good reason apart from that they've gone a bit rubbish.

I was born 800 yards from OT, but I tend to concur about the tourists

And they've got mad owners too.

I should clarify, it's the famous ICF thugs that used to follow the hammers in the 80's that I fell out with...I used to like them before that.

It's the growing number of people that seem suddenly to acquire an allegiance to successful/rich/fashionable clubs that they have no apparent connection with that always irks me. A Scouser of my acquaintance, who used to follow Everton in a vague sort of way, has recently decided he's a devoted Man City fan. Even bought the shirt.

I still remember the day when my old dad solemnly announced that he was no longer going to go to matches because of the thugs. I concur.

Well I was born in Skegness, no one in my family liked football..I fell in love with George Best in '66..been a Red ever since..don't go anymore but used to have an LMTB..I don't think of myself as a tourist.
In fact all this 'glory-hunting' and 'you don't come from Manchester' stuff only started in the 1993-94 season..up till then i'd never had to 'justify' myself..I soon didn't even try to..just agreed with everything I was accused of...actually, that was more fun!
Although I DO agree we have more bandwagon-jumpers than any other club these days..no time for those fuckers!

I'm little bit hoarse today after watching my team, Peterborough United, beat MK Dons to get to the League one play off final last night. Cracking game. Looking forward to the final at Old Trafford now!

We were given a lesson by the best team in the world. That hurt was compounded by the presence in the trophy presentation party of that twat Nick Clegg. Talk about adding insult to injury.
