"Jack Rooney In Person" has been in recess while Declan got on with the business of writing the Great Irish Novel ("The Rooms") and I turned my sights back to the Radiators and forward to my long-a-birthing solo album. One song "Manhattan Moon" has appeared, in Kirsty MacColl's version (on "From Croydon To Cuba", Virgin/EMI). But I expect Dec and I will get back to it next Summer, or at least pretend to, while watching the World Cup.

Jack is a composite of a number of Irish-Americans, not just boxers like Tunney, Dempsey, Sullivan, Doyle, Braddock etc, but also Eugene O'Neill (and his brothers) and Jack Kennedy (and his brothers).

Thanks for your support!

Brillant. I was about to post enquiring about a collective release from yourself. I've a lot of your material, but its scattered over 7"'s, compliations etc and I'd love it all on CD. How about a double CD - new solo album and retrospective ?

Thank you. Looks like it's destined to remain scattered a while longer, as numerous record companies have stakes in it.
