They are all in the half-mile range, or a little less. Maybe take the taxi to one of these places, and wander a bit. There are a ton of bars on 8th and 9th Avenues between 50th and 57th Streets, but there is very little on 10th Avenue, and nothing on 11th Avenue that I know of. Unless you want to get a transmission fixed, or get your your car washed.![]()

Just like we did in Buffalo at the World Juniors (hockey) last night.
Revenge is sweet!
I'll do a little internet research and see where in the D you played back in those days - I can imagine you guys in all sorts of cool venues!
Pogues to Niagara wrote:To anybody from Detroit, assuming I can haul my ass out of bed the Saturday morning after the show (March 5th), are there any pubs in north Detroit (close to Royal Oak) that would be showing the Man Utd v Liverpool game of European Kickball? I hate missing a game, especially against self pity city!
Cheers

There's a McIrelands (aka cookie-cutter Irish pub) in Birmingham called Dick Odow's. It's not far from Royal Oak and they might be showing it. I actually saw Spider play there a few years back. Good beer & whiskey, but yuppie hipster crowd. I'll ask around when it gets closer and can probably let you know - remind me!!!!
