Brixton - Wednesday 22 December

Amazing show again last night - where did that inflatable chef come from who joined on the back of the Fiesta conga ?

Loving the bit where James and Philip take those opposite ends of the stage towards the end of Repeal to bring the crowd to boiling point. It must be easier than trying to balance on that bar stool like you used to Mr C :)

Loved every bit of this first farewell tour from Dublin to Manchester and 3 nights in London it has been just brilliant. The band have been stronger than ever, the venues just right and I have met some great people along the way.

My bigggest thanks ever to The Pogues for performing these shows. All the best guys and have a Happy Christmas.

As ever, the year built up to what is always the most memorable occasion on the calendar...and boy did those Pogues live up to it. Shane sounded snarlingly brilliant, and Philip's energetic guitar bashing kept us dancin' all night long. I was determined to savour every moment, as nothing ever feels as right and perfect as being in Old London Town watching The Pogues do their magic at Christmas time, it's an atmosphere and a feeling like no other which I crave all year round. So, as Aidan has, please may I extend a huge thank you to The Pogues for giving us everything they had on this tour. We, as they, do not know if this will be the last...but if it was...they sure went out with a bang. Thanks all, Merry Christmas.

The inflatable chef was the real life Scott of Fiona and Scott whose job it is to feed the entire Pogues travelling circus from breakfast time [the riggers] to lunch and dinner and then late nite snacks before breaking down their mobile kitchen and setting it up all over again in the next town. All the more remarkable then that their cooking is of the highest order. Scott's always wanted to be in showbiz and last night was his big break. :D

Amazing show last night, less packed than Monday night so more space to have a bit of a jig.
Every tune was spot on, Waltzing Matilda was great, although they missed out a verse, don't know if that was planned or not.
Is there any chance of the band or Shane creating some new material on the back of this successful tour??
Merry Xmas Phil & the lads, I hope you had as good a time as us!!!

Thanks to The Pogues for again making Christmas. I was at Killarney and Brixton 22nd and both shows were brilliant. Have a wonderful Christmas and that message is extended to all on this website. Roll on New York, I can't wait.
