Y'know, at the beginning of the talk about making FONY the #1, as well as reading Bob Geldof's autobiography and the push to make "Do They Know It's Christmas" #1 back in the day, I had felt a little sad that we don't have anything like that in the U.S. Now, after having gone through this and other threads about all of the different campaigns, anti-campaigns and so forth, now I'm relieved we don't.
Sometimes the facts can make the truth disappear

Just out of curiosity does anyone know how Shane and the Priests did? I looked at the top 20 but couldnt see him there... (!)

Didn't make the Top 100, well not in the UK anyway. I never heard it on the radio nor saw in mentioned in the papers.
