Mats was there, ladies and gentlemen. Perhaps it was that kind of night.

UK & Ireland December 2010

Unreal gig, a giddy Shane and absolutely unbelieveable musicianship from all of the lads, Philip, Terry, James, Jim, Daryl, Spider and Andrew. Brass section was brilliant again too and Ella was brilliant for Fairytale. Loved the version of Thousands, may you all have many more years of gigging ahead of you all. One of the best Pogues gigs I've ever been to.

Dublin Olympia theatre - 8 December

Amazing last night.

And the return of a few old stocking fillers, boat train, the band played waltzing Matilda and one more which I have now forgotten.

Roll on tonight :D

Dublin Olympia 8th December

Post Thu Dec 09, 2010 9:17 am

Great show last night, the band were on good form and played a couple of numbers that I don't recall hearing live before (Boat Train, The Band Played Waltzing Matilda).

There was a sign on the theatre door explaining that the performers may be using herbal cigarettes on stage and that these were merely a stage prop

Thanks Phil, pretty much looking forward to KIllarney. Hope weather conditions allow a safe trip for all of us.

I liked Shane's opening line last night, something along the lines of "Fuck the EEC, no one has ever managed to reclaim a debt from Ireland".

Walzing is one I've waiting a decade for.

Seen grown men weep to that in the old days, it's all in the cracks in Shane's voice

The band and Shane sounds amazing on this videoclips. Can't wait for Brixton:) Hope the "new" songs stay in the setlist.
