I disagree. I think buying a best of is kind of a waste if you have already come to the realization that the Pogues are the stuff. I think IISFFGWG is a great place to start. A close second would be RS&TL. If, on teh other hand, you were coming at it from a folk/trad background, then maybe RRFM would be a better pick. BUT, in the end you will buy all three and more.
What kind of fuckery is this?

I've always understood it to have no meaning whatever, but please feel free to invent meaning, you will certainly not be alone.

Sorry about that. The Pogues did not approve the release of that CD, which had only been available, in various forms, as a bootleg. The deputy drummer was Danny Heatley, who later played with The Popes.

Thanks for the reply. Danny Heatley has several times as a drummer Andrew represented or only to this festival?

I was disappointed because I had the bootleg, and then bought the release. Then I found it was the same damn recording. Oh well.

Danny deputised for Andrew just a very few times. He made some further appearances with The Pogues as an additional percussionist for a short while.

Fuck it, buy all of them, greatest band that's ever been there, full stop. I realise from time to time, that the Pogues really changed my life and will always be the greatest for me...it's something my family and mates don't really understand, but I fucking love this band forever and ever and ever...I'm just glad to be able to listen to this wonderful stuff...well, to answer your question: buy all albums! all seven are worth it, because you'll simple find out that you are listening to the greatest fucking band that's ever walked this fucking earth! Cheers! See ya in London, can't wait to see you again! :) Cheerio ;)
