A Raft Party! :D
Perfect idea to liven it up. Ok, we'll need catering, costumes, booze, beer, decorations, illicits, explosives, illegals, incendiaries, and entertainment. I propose we hold it on the main deck of the raft.

Somebody needs to be in charge of sound, somebody lighting. We're gonna need a band, a revue of dancers, and dancing bears. Somebody will have to chaperon Seattle and Jamaica. Somebody needs to get phro a date. Barneys gonna need clean clothes, and I'm gonna need a shower. Chinaski can make the leis. Any unused pieces of the raft should be committed to the bonfire.
More whiskey

Or you all could just fly on up to South Dakota and join Territa and us for our backyard party in June. We already have 4 bands lined up...

I'll be in Idaho! Is that close to South Dakota? (I was absent that day)

Caddy- I'll actually be in Oacoma SD (across the river from Chamberlain) in July. Maybe the party can drag on that long.

K- You'll have to go through Montana the long way to get to SD, so no its not really close. Two day drive maybe?

Clash, there is a possibility I won't be able to make it -- won't know until just a couple days before I'm supposed to leave. But if I do make it, then I'll chaperone Seattle and Jamaica. :D

This is going to genuinely be the most fun one can have outside of a Pogues gig. I second the motion to move the raft party to la familia Clash's back yard. K, wish you could make it.

So-Dak is a bit too far from NC, unfortunately...wish I could make it!

OK, let the raft party begin. I have 3 Woodchuck hard cider things left over from Thanksgiving that I'll never drink....any takers? And phro is apparently a wine connoisseur, so he can bring the vino. The band should be obvious, I'll find a date for phro and provide music. As for the rest...that's up to y'all!

Oh, and sorry Kathleen and anyone else I may have missed...I only mentioned those who I saw who replied. :D

A party, I'll be in that!

The last Medusan party I remember had something to do with Bookish and Firehazard in a tent.....

I am happy to report that my son Aidan is turning into a Pogues fan. Last night he asked my wife to play that song "Dirty Town."

"An Evening with Sting Performing his most celebrated songs Featuring the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra Presented by Xerox
Saturday, June 12th, 2010, 8:00 PM"

Having completely crawled up his own backside Sting decides to see if he can do it again.

They've Xeroxed the whole of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra? I'd go to see that.
But not if it meant having to see Sting.

Edit: I've been worrying about this. Oh lawdy, they couldn't have Xeroxed Sting too, could they? So there might be more than one of him? The horror, the horror.

Fear not. Where Sting has been it is very dark. Photocopies would not work that far up anyone's arse.

We can at least pray he has not photocopied the lute.
