Amsterdam meet

Post Sat May 15, 2010 10:07 am

It would be a wee bit pointless to suggest a meeting place in Amsterdam, there are loads of really good bars, coffeeshops etc in and around the Melkweg.See you there on August 1. 8)

think I recall the place, met some folks from Holland, US and Germany there prior to a Flogging Molly gig there last time I was in Melkweg

@Mick: a guy named Murphy could still have a Guinness logo outside his bar, right ? shite, this world of Irish music and beer is confusing at times

look it up on google maps maybe that brings back memories..

The owner of all these pubs is in a lawsuit now.. Hopefully there still will be a pub then.. Otherwise the meet up has to be at this place on the otherside of the square.. They have a dog in their logo.. 8)

maybe we should let you choose the place for the Medusan-forummembers-meet in Amsterdam Philip.. It is probably easier for us dutchies to find the bar/musea or theater in A'dam that you propose.. Paddy en Mick will be happy to pick up the tab.
Finaly we could all see the faces belonging to the on screen names we see every day at the raft..
You could even bring some friends with you if you like..

Man, I haven't been in Amsterdam since, like, the Sixties man. Is Christiana still there? 8)

I think I was in Amsterdam in the Sixties but I can't quite remember it.

And I believe that Christiana has met her sad demise.

Dan Murphys is the nearest Irish pub to the Melkweg, though there are several others within easy reach,There are loads of bars in and around the Leidseplein. As i no longer drink,i will probably be oing some brass rubbing prior the gig[no giggling at the back....] it is Sunday after all.It will be a great night for me,for personal reasons, roll on August 1 :D .
