Yes that's cold but don't worry it's decent temperatures in the summer up here
The snow usually comes In February-March and then it can be around 3-4 feet.
2 fantastic Irish musicians is on the way up here in the beginning of February but I promise I will not book The Pogues for concerts in the winter up here :)

What a fantastic tour this was I hope that the band will do it again next year.
The Pogues is like whisky, an 18 year old Highland Park is better than a bottle with an age of 12, the older the better
Then they'll take you to Cloughprior and shove you in the ground. But you'll stick your head back out and shout "We'll have another round"

Thanks for all your kind thoughts, folks. And thanks to the kind taxi driver who hauled me and my chair out of a frozen ditch on my failed attempt to get going out and about this weekend.

Hope you had a great night, all those who were there. Sorry you had a wasted marathon across the frozen wastes of Brixton Academy, Walshy, and hope your dad enjoyed it!

And just to be exact about this, I dedicated "Thousands" not to the people who couldn't make it, but to the people who weren't there. Then, wondering aloud if this might sound a bit Buddhist, I dedicated it to those who were there too.

This was my second time seeing the Pogues and it was incredible, even better than last year! I don't know why you all carry on with the music though, you should start doing Strictly Come Dancing or something. Phil and James were laying down some crazy moves in particular ;)

Just got back, no travel problems for me at all, train going out got to London on time, train coming back on time. Good gig, I was in my usual place front left in front of the barrier. Eckhard was missed by both myself and Jake. Feel rough today, but I'm off work tomorrow fortunately, so I have another day to recover.

Bit worried when I left snow covered Brighton and noted minus 5 on the temperature gauge and wondered what it would be like driving back from Gatwick afterwards and trains would be running from Victoria to Gatwick but no worries in the end.

Personally thought the band were the most tight I have seen them in years (certaintly the best from the reunion era) and Shane gave a wonderful performance. Shane really was on top form.

Highlights of the evening - Old Main Drag, Rainy Night and Greenland Whale Fisheries.

Many thanks to the band for providing a joyous experience once again.

Dammit, all the things we missed. Was that a relative of "Dog", or a Kate Bush cover?

Just wanted to say thanks for a great performance last night - both from the band and the crowd (who always really make the brixton shows stand out). Even at the back, people were singing along and dancing. I went with two friends who had never seen the pogues before, and they left truly converted.

I thought it was very interesting that, going on the mix of ages, well over half of the crowd must have discovered the band in the last few years - indeed like myself. I think its fantastic that the band still get it together to do these tours, and long may it continue!

Ah fuck yerself

Only Medusans I remember meeting was Walshy and Fr Mcreer (and his cousin I think?) as I didn't get there till late, but I probably talked to a few without realising!

Great gig btw lads

Top night, had an absolute great time before during and after the gig, The show was a real stonker again what can i say, just brilliant, easy travel up an down and i just love that pub the Canterbury, great to meet Father Mcgreer and Lade in there and Walshy that dance in the Snow rounded off what was an unforgettable night- thank you .
And the band were in fine form again,i spent the gig front right interspersed with regular trips across to the front left side to use the loo via the mosh pit which was mental,
Thanks for a great night Mr C long live the Pogues !

I ache from head to toe today but sadly at sometime the tour must end :(

I think this Christmas tour was the best yet for me personally. To see 4 gigs throughout the past couple of weeks was brilliant. I didnt make the same mistakes as last year (except in Dublin) by getting so hammered I couldnt remember anything. Hats off to my good friend Brendan who did 3 of them with me including Dublin - He went down at least 3 times last night in the mosh (hes 54) then collapsed outside - they wanted to call an ambulance but he knew the drinks were lined up at the cantabury so couldnt wait !!!

Still buzzing today from the weekend. Some really amazing memories not including some random female being on my shoulders thoroughout FONY and being pelted by a snowball (now ice) on the way home, being hit in the jaw and pillow covered in blood this morning (ouch)

A BIG THANK YOU TO THE POGUES FOR THESE EXCEPTIONAL GIGS.
