The pic of a bit more prominent fan was moved to a bit more prominent place in "Shane With Others". :) Thanks for reminder!

Just caught up with the "Pogramone" pic - what a fabulous shot, thanks for that one.

Ah, Joey... :(

Updates, updates

Post Thu Oct 27, 2005 1:54 am

Ziouxzana, MacRua and I make an effort to publicly thank people that contribute photos to the gallery. This gives you all a hint that things have been added, but it can still be a challenge to find just what got added; especially if we've added things on our own and don't make annoucnements.

The gallery opened for business on September 21, 2005 with approcimately 800 images. We have added somewhere around 400 images (that's an average of over thirteen new images per day ... wow - what a month!), so it's a wonder we don't get lost ourselves.

In order to help you crazy kids find the new images more easily there is now an Updates page available here. This page will show you the last 25 added images. No more, no less. Enjoy!

Note that this interface may change unexpectedly so don't rely on it too much.

OK, this is getting a little spooky...I was going to send you a note tonight suggesting that some sort of "recent additions" feature be added, to make life a bit easier 'round here. Your mind reading skills are impressive, my friend.

And oh, yeah - thanks. :)

Strangely I knew you were going to say that. And you're welcome.

Though honestly this is something I've wanted to get working for a while, and was asked for a month ago by Nate:
Nate wrote:Is it possible that the gallery could have some type of icon (similar to the fora) indicating new pictures or maybe, on the front page of the Photo section, a note with the date of the last added picture?

At some point I hope to integrate it more tightly into the gallery, get RSS working, etc. But for now this basic functionality will suffice.

And see? I do listen to your suggestions! See? SEE?

If I knew what any of that meant it'd be great - but the piccies area is terrific nonetheless. Many thanks. :D

Hey, I've just noticed I'm a Capitano now. Shame, I'll liked that other personality greatly. How many posts do I have to do before I become a Fuctifino?

Sorry, off topic, momentarily overexcited.............sad or what?

Let me see if I can help here:

"At some point" == "Eventually"
"I hope to" == "I think it'd be cool if I could do"
"integrate it more tightly" == "make it a more obvious feature"
"the gallery," == "the place where all the pictures are"
"get RSS working" == "allow people to subscribe to a data feed that will automagically show them new items"
"etc" == "and other stuff"
"But for now" == "Excuse those plans though - they're in the future."
"this basic functionality" == "This limited feature"
"will suffice" == "make you guys suffer with sub-optimal crap"

:)

Thanks for the new feature DzM! It looks related

Ah we never doubted you for a minute!

Unrelated: wasn't this forum supposed to be locked (as proclaimed on the Forum Index blurb)?

I am absolutely delighted to announce that our very own Puppet Master, Ziouxzana, has led the charge with her "Misty Morning, Charles Bridge".

Thank you Ziouxzana! I eagerly look forward to more.

Charles Bridge is hidden in the magical depths of the heart of Europe. Some days it looms out of the cloak of fog before the eyes of lucky spectators, other days... well, other days it is just there. There, in the far famed city of Prague, the Czech capital, 50° north of the equator, 14° east of Greenwich meridian, etc. etc. ;)
