Another great show. Everyone in great form. Set list same as Austin and KC as far as I remember. This may be the first time I have seen Philip perform on stage with out a hat. It came off for the encores as did his sport coat. Some one threw a black cowboy hat up on stage and Spider put it on. It matched his black duster perfectly and I must say it was a good look for him. You could almost imagine his 6 shooter would come out any minute.

On the way in to the venue we ran into James and Spider who were visiting with Justin Townes Earle so we stopped to say hello.

After the show we visited with Phro37 and his little brother. Very nice guys indeed. While we were visiting with Phro, Shane came back out on stage, waved and when I asked if he would be attending the after show gathering he indicated he had to head for New Orleans. He did wave to the girls so I blew him a kiss as he was leaving. He took another step then turned around and blew a kiss back and gave me a big smile.

We missed you GFCH. OK, we are finally headed back to Dakota on Sunday.

Fantastic show. My first exposure to the Pogues was about 1993 when a friend and I were in a pub in France. There was Irish band playing, and they were pretty good, but as the night wore on some other guys came to sit in and the energy level just shot up 10x. Started talking to one of them and turned out it was some of the Pogues. I think it was Spider we talked to.

So I bought some albums and have enjoyed them for years, so it was great to have them come play 15 minutes from the house.

The crowd seemed a little tame, but we were seated in the balcony. Down on the floor things looked very lively. The band sounded great, far exceeded my expectations. Required Shane report: He shuffled out from stage right - there was stool set up for him - he walked right past the stool and exited stage left - then he came back out and stood. He knocked the microphone stand early on (he'd do this a couple of times) but picked it up and put the mic back with no trouble. He pulled the same gag of walking across the the stage a couple of times. After a couple of songs, I guess it was apparent he wouldn't be needing his seat and it was pushed to the back.

Justin Townes Earle was quite good, by the way.

Terrific show. Worth every penny of the ticket price!

Shane's purposeful stride across the stage at the start - which did indeed look like an immediate stage exit directly following his entrance - was to consult with Dave Guerin, our onstage soundman. The onstage stool has been with us since Glasgow 2001. It's a fen shui thing.

Incredible, incredible show . . . I'm still too verklempt to say much more.

The only thing I would change if I could: I would have bought GA tix instead of balcony seats . . . it was a bit too tame up there.

I hope it's not another 20 years before the next Dallas show!

Great show -- come back soon guys. Next time we'll toss up a sombrero for Spider -- although the cowboy hat suited him fine.

Last nights show in Dallas was outstanding, there were a couple of issues
with the sound, but the band played on and worked thru them. Thanks for coming
to my hometown, it was much more convenient for me to see the pogues play here
vs. me traveling to Atlantic city or Chicago (which of course I did and would probably
do again).

Looking around my fellow audience members, most were pleasant and really enjoyed the show.
I do wish, however that we could find some way to inform those people with little or no knowledge
of the band that-

Moshing will occur at the front of the stage area
If you dont want to mosh you should probably vacate that area
There is no such thing a personal space in a mosh pit

Congratulations guys for an excellent show, enjoy New Orleans and better still
the time with your families thereafter.

Moving my excitement into here!

This was my first live show! Hopefully it's not my last. Thank you all for coming to Dallas and performing for us! It was a great show! I've been hearing tin whistle melodies in my head all weekend!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Incredible show! They played every song I have wanted to hear since becoming a fan 20 some years ago. I got a bit rowdy - and to you folks in the balcony, you did miss a bit of drunken sing-alongs and dancing, but you also missed me running into you, covered in spilled Guiness, and screaming with a maniacal grin. For all of the folks I ran into I apologize, but that show was pure bliss! I hope this was a profitable journey for the Pogues and Phil brings the crew back through again soon. Slainte Joe and an erin go, my love's in amerikae! One last note: beer really does help. I was the unofficial translator for my pocket of people when Shane made various announcements.

i remember one young lady at the end of the show going off on the guy behind her for pushing and shoving. like it was his fault. as if he had some control over the 30 people shoving into HIM. "well i asked them nicely..."

GREAT show guys! phil, i'm sorry i missed you. hopefully someday. everything was great. the crowd took a bit longer than in austin to get going but once it did there was no stopping it. i got to meet cc and cpogues' little girls which was nice. if you're reading this then hello seattle! a young lady offered me a sip of her just opened beer and the minute i got it security came and escorted her out. apparently they had kicked her out a few minutes before and her boyfriend snuck her back in. he stayed behind and let me keep the beer. great crowd. great atmosphere. fell in the pit a few times and was helped right up as always. i don't pay much attention to acoustics at these things. how can you when your favorite band is thumping your favorite songs live? there's just too much going on. technicalities don't exist. awesome time. thanks again to the band and to terry and cc and cupcakes and cpogues and the girls and phil and the fans. another great party!

Thanks, Philip, for the clarification. I think some portion of the crowd was open to the possibility that Shane was exiting before the first song and may not return. And judging by the grin on his face, I think Shane was aware of this.

Again, fantastic show. Had to be one of my favorite nights of music ever. Hope to see y'all in Texas again.

I think the difference experiences described on this thread is a good example of something that makes the Pogues very special. The folks on the floor in GA had a great time jumping around, sloshing beer, etc. I'm sure the energy fed the performance and visa versa. Up in the balcony (where I was) I had a great view and the sound was excellent. I heard an outstanding performance. The Pogues are great on many levels.
