The last one may surprise you, but reason I don't like this is because it's not the original version, the one we sing in Liverpool, it's been altered as people have sung it round the world, nothing wrong with that, these things happen, just grew up singing slightly different words, that's all.

Sickbed and The Old Main Drag? Those both easily in my top 10 (maybe even top 5). Oh well, I guess it just goes to show how The Pogues have had so many different sides over the years that people may like them for completely different reasons.

Yes, that's true and that makes the Pogues so great. I find the songs I named not too bad at all, I just don't like them that much. Especially "Gridlock" is...can't describe it but it's strange and I believe it's not the best choice for an opener for "Peace and Love". I love some of the jazz-stuff from the Pogues though. "Metropolis" is great as well as some Box-Set-stuff like "Lust for Vomit" or "The Town that Never Sleeps"...brilliant!

I don't particularly care for anything they did between 1982 and 1996. Sickbed? Down in the Ground? Kitty? I'll say t again! Kitty? To each his/her own, but I can't abide by this. Crazy talk.

I don't quite understand, or is English not your first language and that's just mis-typed.

I'm also shocked at some of those posted. KITTY

Anyway here's mine:

Down All The Days
Five Green Queens

I'll add to the list later, Ireland are 1 up against Italy :D

Well, from the first five albums there is only one song that I actually do not like: Rainbow Man.

Sorry to Terry, sorry to everyone involved, but it simply does not get me.

Well Fiesta for the obvious reason.... it means the show is just about done.

I also put Kitty, Old Main Drag, Sickbed at the other end of the spectrum, among my favorites.

My favorite part of Turkish Song of The Damned is watching Terry's hands perform the Lark in the Morning jig.

I admit there are a few songs I don´t like (albums only).

Down all the days
The ghost of a smile
Rainbow man

Girl from the Wadi Hammamat
How come
Love you til the end
Where that love´s been gone
The sun and the moon

To me they´re way below Pogues standards.

I can't believe Down In The Ground gets so little love. I would absolutely love to see Spider and Shane sing-shout that song sometime. But I have to admit that it can be hard to listen to in any old mood.

Songs I don't like? I dunno. Maybe Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah. I don't dislike it. It just seems to be below normal Pogues standards.

The Old Main Drag

OK,the words are good, but I find the tune terribly turgid

Wow I amsuprised that so many dislike Down in the ground, which has always been one of my favorites, and am suprised not to see pachinko listed,as i assumed most pogues fans hated it.

As far as my least favorites, they are still great songs, but i tend to skip them for this reason or that...

Summer In Siam
Battle OF Brisbane
Fiesta
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah (coincidentally their biggest hit on local alternative radio here in southern california)

the one exception, and possibly in my opinion the worst song they have recorded, albeit only in demo form, is Something Wild... That one I do not think is a great song, but since it is only on the box set it may be an irrelevant choice.

i am curious what the favorites are to some of these folks who've posted their worst... especially hose listing tracks like main drag and sickbed... again 2 favorites of mine! and so is tombstone! so yeah...

amazed my post drew such weird responses. it was sarcasm. my advice to those who wish to share their dislikes with the rest of us: who cares? I don't like cheese, but don't feel I need to share that with the world(until now)
