Support act in December

Post Tue Sep 15, 2009 7:14 am

It's been confirmed that William Elliott Whitmore will be providing support for all the December shows. He's fantastic! Don't miss him.

I've just gone and said how excited I am about this in another thread. So I shouldn't say it here too, should I? But dammit, I'm excited.

That's twice as excited as you would have been had you posted only once!

Fuck it, I'm going Brixton. Nevermind the money worries. I've been every year since '05 and now isn't the time to break a habit.

Ticketmaster.ie is now advertising tickets for Belfast and the first of the Dublin nights(4th) only.

Tickets onsale from 9.00 on Friday. Due to work commitments can only make Saturday the 5th- so hopefully they'll go on sale soon.

It's layout is very similar to the last one, balcony as before. More bars, a bit easier to get a drink, £3.60/pint though, it aint cheap,
all new and sparkly, great atmosphere, close to hurst street for a pre gig drink and a great atmosphere, it has the makings of a top venue.
The Pogues will be awesome in it, can't wait, Brixton tickets arrived today, been listening to rumsod, love to hear old main drag again this year

Thanx 4 review RSTL easier to get a drink mmm.... cant 4 the life of me see how this could help! The price is about right thesedays just take the bulk on board pre-gig. Hope it had good sound merch area etc... I suppose us oldies will have to get used to it. Not sure on sparkly I go more sleazy dive! Still well up 4 it tho....... Thanx again RSTL oh and just to repeat myself again after another glorious weekend....GABBY'S GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should be ok to get tickets for the standing area. The gigs tend to sell slowly over here due to general apathy and the fact it's not yet been publised widely. Also, no one has any money anyway.

Having said that, i'll be online at 9am on friday. I'm not leaving anything to chance, this is the first year the lads are playing the best venue in Dublin and it holds less than a quarter of the old Point Depot. It's gonna rock.

Same here. I don't care how much I have to pay for the plain tickets, I just want to make sure I get tickets for the standing area.

I haven't checked yet though, which airline flies from Finland to Dublin on friday and back on Sunday... Maybe I should do that as well.

Finnair used to fly Dublin-Helsinki but i think Aer Lingus are the only ones who fly that route direct now.
I love it when a plan comes together.
