Turkish Song Of The Damned is already in a film. I've definately heard it at least once in a film (can't remember the film though).

Definately thousands are sailing could be in a film. APistol for paddy garcia would also fit well. Although it was probably in 'Straight to Hell' the alex cox film was it?

It's kind of funny, but RSTL and IISFFGWG seem to be the "Storytelling" albums. I could only think of Young Ned on one of the other albums that really has a distinct narrative. I'm going to have to pull out the others and give them a spin to see if I can find more on the other discs.

Turkish Song of the Damned and Hell's Ditch would be excellent horror movies (hopefully).

If someone got on it right away, a movie based on Fairytale would make for a nice Christmas time release around 2011 or 2012.

I see Thousands Are Sailing not so much as a feature-length film but in an HBO miniseries vein. Ideally it would air on FX or maybe The History Channel so that I could actually see it.

Inside my head all weekend has been developing the screenplay for the Dark Streets Of London movie. Gritty social realism, but with a heart of gold of course. I'm thinking Ken Loach to direct. Or actually possible Andrea Arnold now.

Started off working on And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda, but the danger was that Mel Gibson was going to star in it, so that project has been shelved pretty damn quick.
