Pogues Press Requests

Post Wed Sep 09, 2009 6:55 am

Hi-

Apologies if this is the incorrect forum for this question, but does anyone know who to contact about press-related inquiries for the Pogues, specifically the West Coast tour? The person I've dealt with in the past is no longer handling the band's affairs. Thanks in advance!

An email to myself or a PM to Philip will probably get you pointed in the right direction(s).

I'm a reporter and I would like to reach The Pogues or their management. Can you help me with that? Thanks, Bill

Revolution

Post Fri Feb 28, 2014 10:20 am

I want to start a revolution against christmas shopping

Obviously nobody listesn to me BUT THE POGUES! well they could start a revolution with an Xmas song. I want loads of money, but hereby agree to give it all to the Disaster Emergency Committee. Really I just want to save the world for my kids.

A SHOPPING CAROL (Private profit, public loss).......to an electric 'Hark the herald' tune

"Hi! Trust me. You need my product
You need it now, so just sign here
Two for one, and one third off
Nothing to pay until next year

Joyful all ye shoppers rise
Credit limits it defies

TIME TO GO DOWN TO THE MALL
TO GATHER BARGAINS GREAT AND SMALL (Repeat)

Greed and envy they will follow
Social breakdown is our fate
Financial crisis, double dip
Before you know it, it's too late

Banksters syphon all our profits
Bail outs see they keep the good bits

TIME TO GO DOWN TO THE MALL
TIME GATHER BARGAINS GREAT AND SMALL (REPEAT)

They lend your savings at high interest
For infrastructure we don't need
When the loans get un-payable
They from us our income bleed

Private profits, public losses
Press control-ed by the bosses

TIME TO GO DOWN TO THE MALL
TIME GATHER BARGAINS GREAT AND SMALL (REPEAT)

They say we're in this all together
Propoganda made to please
Austerity will see us through
Just by Quantitative ease

Print more money, that's a gem!
Even that goes back to them

TIME TO GO DOWN TO THE MALL
TIME GATHER BARGAINS GREAT AND SMALL (REPEAT)"
