Yes, although I feel obliged to report that the BBC does not just make Bargain Hunt, Flog it! and How Clean Is Your House? - the staple and endlessly rotated diet of BBC America - and not all their presenters are no-nonsense former geography teachers with orange faces. It only seems that way.
Their international news output remains questionable. While appearing to present a "balanced" view, BBC news commentary is rife with loaded and editorialised qualification. Hammas, for example, will always be "terrorists", however nuanced the reality of Hammas is. And usurpers of Palestinian land will invariably be "Israeli settlers".
Understood on the editorials, I'll look for that now in future casts ...... don't forget good ole' Gordon Ramsey who's become quite the celeb in the States, but that Grahm Norton fellow I don't quite get at all......they must run a laugh track over his show.
The British adore a homosexual who appears not to be having sex but loves "smut". Though in fairness to Norton, when he's not pandering to that, he's a very capable performer. Gordon Ramsay is the inexplicable one.
I just thought I wasn't understanding the British humour thing. Also he has had some people I hadn't seen in some time Sinead O'Connor for example and he asked her maybe two questions and then spent the rest of the time (felt like quite some time) doing a comedy bit around a video of hers from 20 years ago. I was disappointed not to hear more of an interview with her. Mickey Rourke was on, apparently boozed up and was quite funny.
