I was thinkink for some time about meaning
been was (drinking---fun)
What does it mean and when is it used? I asked several of our english teachers but no one knew anything of it. Maybe someone here could help me. Thanks

That would be a typo on the Paddy Rolling Stone site. The lyrics in the Crock Of Gold read:

"The chasing girls was easy and drinking beer was fun"
“I know all those people that were in the film [...] But that’s when they were young and strong and full of life, you know?”
