March '09 -- opening acts

So, who do you think will open for the Pogues on their next U.S. set of shows? :)
What kind of fuckery is this?

Ok, I'll bite to start some conversation...I have no clue as to a guess who will open for them. But I have been getting into the new Tossers album lately and think it would be an amazing tour if those two could somehow manage to play on the same tour.

I'd love to see Billy Bragg open again, or get the Filthy Thieving Bastards over here since they never tour the East Coast.

I'm gonna guess W.E.W. again? If its not broken don't fix it. Agreed, Billy Bragg would be great again, though i get the feeling that was a special one off

Not sure about WEW because he'll be on tour and in NYC the month before at Bowery Ballroom. Would be nice to see with Pogues though.

Swingin' Utters announced dates for midwest and east coast for March. Could they be on their way over to open for the Pogues? hmm.

The Street Dogs website has an announcement about having some gigs in New England in March but are being rather cagey about what exactly these gigs are.

Oh yeah. I would have to find a way to make it to more shows....
And I don't want no grave
Just throw my ashes in the field
And hope there's some soul left to save

I'm all for seeing the "Tossers" again, would be great to see "Filthy Thieving Bastards", "WEW once again??, as it opened me up to new music, but then again i have been pleasantly surprised with all of the opening acts i have been fortunate to have seen opening with The Pogues thus far??
