Composer of everybody's dreams - brilliant, extremely productive and never demanding royalties. Just... are you sure it is "him" and not at least partially "her"? ;)

I'm sure there are many more I'm forgetting, but here it is.

In Alphabetical Order:

  • Bob Dylan
  • Bob Marley
  • Chris Ballew/PUSA
  • Eugene Hutz
  • George & Will Millar
  • Ronnie Drew
  • and that Trad. guy everyone is talking about

Edit: We mustn't forget Billy Connolly!
“An’ this is the last of Brummy,” he said, leaning on his spade and looking away over the tops of the ragged gums on the distant range.

Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Hank Williams

Well, won't you lend your lungs to me?
Mine are collapsing
Plant my feet and bitterly breathe
up the time that's passing.
Breath I'll take and breath I'll give
pray the day ain't poison
stand among the ones that live
in lonely indecision.

I think Joe Strummer is bloody obvious. But if he isn´t, I would go for him.
