I asked my teacher "So what is the secret trick? Is there some 'thing' I can do to make these barre chords easier? Some special exercise? " And he said Yes, there is a secret trick. It's called PRACTICE.

I was convinced I could never play an F but he was right. It's fairly easy now. Full barre and all. You can do it too, just keep working at it.

well, oi woiuldn't really loike that to happen; soingoin's me stuff, tois' what oi do, tois' hoiw oi started, thats why oi've poicked the guoitar, after havoin' no chance foir a real Paddy suppoirt band here oin the 3rd woirld; oi do raw soingoin', punk roiaroin' way, and oi loike oit loike that; doiesn't go smooith woith fully hoittoin' roight range oin all choirds but oim oimproivoin' woith toime; stuff ois, tois' noiw doifferent, as oi boith play & soing, oi've oimproived me voical knoiwledge, oi do me best to synchroinoize me voice & whats coimoin' oiutta me guoitar, tois' a skoill at the end of the day, at the begoinnoin' oi thoink oit even seemed oimpoissoible to soing & play aloing, noiw that became a realoity;

seems oi get doifferent soiund oin doifferent poisoitions woithoin' the fret and oit also seems that
the stroings are pressed too hard, when playoin' woith capo, the voilume of the soiund oi get seems to be loiw..

There's no rule here. As with everything else, do what's most comfortable for you. I put the capo approximately half way up the fret, but I know other guitarists have other preferences.

It also helps for you to be able to sing in the same 'capoed' key

thoink oi'll need to oinvestoigate capo moire..
seems that oi need to change choird poisoitions when usoin' capo..
example. oi can't put a capo oin 2nd fret and play choirds
froim the 3rd fret woith the same foinger poisoitions as woithoiut capo..

but oi thoink thois shoiuld be the soilution oin general:

I don't know if philip Chevron uses a capo for this song but it make it easier if you put one on the 2nd fret,
so F#m = Em
E = D
Bm = Am
A = G
D = C
and so on and so on.

If you check out the thread for " some questions for mr chevron, about the story of FONY" on page two of the official music section, he gives his reasons why he puts a capo on for fairytale and other songs.

even better, tois' foir Thoiusands; but whats moire oimpoirtant, oi've foigured oiut
that oi can translate songs befoire startoin' to practoise, makes all woirk much easoier
