The title made me curious. What did Kirsty do in Cuba? On a quick Google search I found that she did some solidarity work for them and visited there because she wanted to see a communist state. Is there a deeper meaning for "From Croydon to Cuba"?

I was going to try to explain my take on Kirsty's love for Cuba, its people, and its music in my own words, but then I decided that it would be easier to direct you to a few relevant pages on Freeworld, the fantastic official Kirsty site (http://www.kirstymaccoll.com), such as:

Cheers Rich!

It seems passion for Cuba is something I share with Kirsty.
