Paddys Day Next Year With The Pogues?

Post Wed Sep 14, 2005 12:20 pm

Seeing the Pogues have done/doing two years running of Xmas tours, and afew show in between.
I think a Paddys Night show should or could be in order.
Also now Shane hasnt got a band of his own to do one right now,and the Pogues in fine form.I think it would be a great idea.
Even do a Paddys Tour, like doin a show in NYC,Dublin,&London

I support the idea, since I'll be traveling to Dublin for Paddy's Day!

Please?
Have you got no f*cking homes of your own?

the band generally plan 6 months ahead........the december shows were sorted in July which means.......THE POGUES ALREADY KNOW IF THEY'RE DOING PADDY'S DAY OR NOT! I bet they won't tell us though.
Playing the UK might effect ticket sales for the December shows so maybe New York isn't so far fetched...............Unless Shane gets back with the Popes but all the reports are of Peace and Love within the Pogues camp so you'd think they'd continue working together.

It would still be a good idea though. I reckon it would be in dublin though and not London or NYC.

Well i think a Paddys Day Tour would be a great idea.
Me being in London,i still respect the fans across the alantic.I think that the fans out in the USA deserve afew shows. Not that i dont want the Pogues around town,i would be mad to think that.Just we are great fans, we do go to the ends of the earth to catch a glimpse of the gang on stag.So it was an idea of them hittin the towns around America.
As i said about the Pogues in fine form.Doin gigs here and there,a Paddys shows would go down great.
Plus still to show up say Shepherds Bush & The Point. 8)

Pogues won't play NYC or any where in the USA for that matter unless they are paid handsomely. It's just not worth the trip for them any more. Of course, I wish that weren't the case considering I'm in California. But a Pogues Paddy Day would be great - no matter where it is. I'd do my best to make it, for sure.

Ay, they don't get out of bed these days for less than £XXXXXXXXXX. Still, they managed 3 gigs in Japan a few weeks ago and that was financially viable ... and three times as far so who knows
