He was an Irish politician around fifty years ago. He did a few controversial things in his time.

Also, if this is going to turn into a debate, I would like to keep it civil and make educated arguments.

Was that remark (you know, putting Irish in the quotation marks) supposed to be an insult as to the fact that I'm from America, Dave? If it was, I just thought that I would tell you that Americans are not a general ethnic group, and the people who live here are from many diverse cultures. Yes, I am American, but I am also of Irish heritage.
