Streams of Seattle

Post Sat Apr 19, 2008 2:28 am

Hi my name is Seattle :D I drew pictures of Shane MacGowan and Philip Chevron I would like to show you one of the pictures. I saw the Pogues in Boston. I heard the Pogues sing my favorite song called dirty old town. I am drawing more pictures some day. Here is my picture of Philip. :)

Image
The Pogues have inspired a bunch
And now it's time to write along,
Because we are able to see the Pogues play a song :) :)

What a brilliant picture, though it flatters me a little, I think! I shall do my best to live up to it. Thank you Seattle. :)

(For those of you who, unlike Seattle, did not catch the recent shows, I have taken to perching on a high stool for some numbers).

Seattle, you must like drawing to draw so well. And how lucky you are to see the Pogues!

Well, it looks like mr. Chevron's got hooves instead of shoes. Maybe he´s a hidden devil

Here is the photo Seattle used for inspiration. Philip's shoes do appear a bit like hooves like in the photo. Does Philip have a bit of a devilish streak? I would guess yes.

Seattle used meowhouse's avatar for the picture of Shane. She pointed out to me that she purposely colored in Shane's mouth to show that he has no teeth.

Yes, jennylois she loves to draw and I have a box of artwork to prove it.

She was incredibly excited when I suggested that she should become a Medusan. Not as happy that I made her compose and type her messages herself. At age 6 she might be the youngest Medusan?

I am honored! My avatar is one of my favorite pictures of him. If only the press would print more good ones like that! They're both lovely drawings, Seattle. And I love the artistic interpretation of the teeth.

You know I saw you at Boston except I didn't know who you were yet, but I said to myself, "Who are those two little girls and what kind of amazing parents do they have to have them love this music so young?" Well now I know! :P

Youngest, maybe. Most immature? Not by a long shot.

Great pictures, Seattle! Keep drawing so you can cover up your parents' refrigerator!

This whole thread, including Seattle's portraits (which are much better than my own sketches have ever turned out) just makes me smile tremendously. Throwing minotaurs into it is icing on the cake.

IrishRover (sorta) wrote:It'd be interesting to know which song was being performed when the portrait was made

Well, I can't speak for the portrait, but I'd guess the photo was taken during Love You Til The End (the photo was taken at 10:07pm, and Dirty Old Town was being performed at 10:18pm, and only one song separated the two).

Having meta data attached to photos is cool AND creepy.
