Sadly not. Much as I think Oz is the finest country on God's earth, I can't claim to be anything other than a rain-shrivelled Manc. I was trying, in a hamfisted kind of way, to make the point that language, intent and interpretation can diverge.

Gurrier is the first person of whom I have observed the banning where I haven't quite understood what's been going on. What he posted may have been distasteful (and I particularly recognise I haven't see the content of his PMs) but I could've ignored him. I can use the Manage Foes function to ignore folk who bug me much worse than he does. I found his stout defence of Oirish to be very sweet.

Previous banees like inmyliverpoolhome and gogofishypower needed banning and, quite properly, were. I missed the Frances episode but was surprised she was no longer here as the contributions she had made (that I had seen) had been good ones.

Ultimately, it's DZM's raft and I choose to be aboard, recognising his right to chuck me overboard if I am annoying, I have to say that the "Go on then" taunt from Gurrier would probably have elicited the same response from me. I would probably have lowered myself to his level too and told him to rack off. I do however hope he comes back.

Jenny, noone says bonza in Aus. You guys aren't to be blamed - esp. if you watch Neighbours.. Hey I reckon the insults are flying a bit thick and fast. 'Let's kick 'em while they're down,' mentality? What you need to do is go to the top of the page, click on User Control Panel and then select Friends or Foes and put in the names of the people who drive you crazy. That's all you have to do, then they can't piss you off any more. There's a good little boy.
