The Slackers

Post Fri Jan 25, 2008 7:27 am

Not having found a thread for The Slackers here, I thought I would give them the credit they deserve with their own thread.

If you're not familiar with the band, it's a NYC based Ska band. Coming to your town? Your best bet for a great time.

I've just returned from one such show. The venue was small, with terrible acoustics, so I got up front and left of stage. I had a lot of fun. I was dancing. My first memory of dancing was when I was four, with a steel band, until my mother, who'd lost me, yanked me out of the crowd. This was almost that good.

Thank you, Alex, for the heads up on this show. Enjoy!

Saw them in Belfast a few months back. Class and a great long set as well it was too bad one of the support bands got in a crash coming in or it would have been even better.
