NY Tickets

If anyone has problems finding tix for the NY shows, check out stubhub.com.Don't get them right away though, keep monitoring the prices every couple days.Right now the low price for 3/15 is $82.50.Last year I waited until 10 days before the St. Patty's show, and ended up getting 4 tix for less than face value. And the fees are cheaper than Ticketmaster.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered elsewhere, but...

Can anyone recommend a clean and reasonably priced hotel near the Roseland Ballroom?

Thanks! :)

We're staying at the Hampton Inn Times Square North.

I've never stayed there (I'm not a fan of staying in this part of town). The place is the old Howard Johnson Plaza that was completely renovated a couple of years ago and has been getting pretty decent reviews online.

It's incredibly close (I want to say 8th at 51st, but I'll have to check), and we got a great deal through Expedia. We booked it for under $200 before taxes and fees, and the room usually goes for close to or over $300.

Give me a sec and I'll try to dig up some links. :D

Here's the Tripadvisor link:

We booked it for way under the $365 they list, though.

The total for us, with all taxes and fees, came to around $250.

Which night(s) are you going?

We'll be in New York for the 16th.

We have a Los Lobos/James Hunter gig up here in the Hudson Valley on Saturday, so we'll be getting into the city by about noon on Sunday.

We have three or four places circled for the afternoon/evening of the 16th. As of now we're thinking about the House of Brews (practically across the street from the hotel), O'Flaherty's, and the Irish Pub. They're all within a very, very reasonable walking distance. I'm still hoping for some late night music somewhere nearby for the post show, too! 8)

We're going to stick around for the parade on the 17th, but we need to get home for work the next day, so I'm thinking that drinking will be kept to a minimum that day.

Now, Boston on the 20th is a whole other story...

I hope my brother-in-law's bar will be ready for us! :P

The House of Brews is my local place - of course, I would highly recommend it. O'Flaherty's and the Irish pub are nice as well. You might also try McGee's on 55th Street between 8th and Broadway.

I can't think of any place with late nite music in the immediate area tho, sorry.

Follow the link on the front page. Voila!

The front page link doesn't work.

https://tixx1.artistarena.com/pogues/

Whoops! An extra quote (") in the URL. All fixed.

Hello Dzm

When i try to view tickets available, the "new shows" are not visible to me, it shows that the Chicago shows are still available.

I'm interested in getting tickets for the Mar 17th show and was making sure my profile was still functional.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Like it says on the front page:

# March 15, 16 & 17: New York NY Roseland Ballroom
* Public on-sale: Thursday, Dec 20 at noon. On-sale information for March 17 not yet available.

So - the March 17 show is not yet for sale.
