You think so? They are experts on management and promotion without any doubts but hardly have something to do with these particular gigs..

TOSCS wrote:Do you know if Shane will just come out and sing one or two songs, or actually do the gig with her? It might just be promoters throwing his name about to gain publicity.

If Shane did a gig it would be called "Shane MacGowan with ...". Now it's "Sharon Shannon with ...". Shane is very special, but a guest, alongside other great acts. And as a guest he is to do from 4 up to 6 songs. If everything goes according to plan.

Don't all stampede at once.

Don't underrate spell of Shane and €40 tix. It will keep everyone in his seat

Do I mean Friends of Shane? Perhaps I mean Paddy Rolling Stone. I get easily confused. Noel Kenny often knows these things...........

I typed the above while I was pissed. Just in case there is any confusion, Mundy sang Galway Girl, not Shane.

Sorry about that. It was Van Morrison's "Dark side of the road". I'm not a Van expert, I think that's what the song is called

You're probably right..

I'd put it in my top 10 gigs ever. Even if Shane didn't show it would still have been worth the entrance fee.
