From what I've heard, they tend to enjoy doing nothing after they've got your purchase.
Not very sporting to fire on an unarmed opponent. I thought you were supposed to be good. Aren't you the... 'good' man?

Be that as it may - I always feel a little better after knowing I've made some poor pleeb hate his/her day as much I know hate his/her company.

I've spent the last four days being cruel to phone flunkies at FedEx. Hasn't made my package show up, but a lot of people have sounded miserable and apologized for its having gone throw Memphis twice (and having also been within ten miles of my house at least once).

Misery shared is misery enjoyed.

Signed on here for the first time in a while last night and saw the East Coast dates listed cheering me up no end. Had planned already to go to NY in March to see some friends. So double whammy catching up with friends and taking them to The Pogues. Managed to get tix for Roseland 15th.

Hopefully can meet up with some NY Medusans :)

Scruffy Duffys,8th Ave between 46th & 47th.See you there!!

Scruffy Duffys's and the Kevin St. James are closing permanently on January 1st. The building is being knocked down to make way for a high rise condo. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Midtown 8th Avenue is clearly the next obvious target for "gentrification". What a shame.

Patiently waiting...

Okay, can we make with a Philly show in 2008 please. Thank you.

P.S. It's nice to be back on the boards after my summer/autumn hiatus.

Would that be in "C'lumya, Murrilin," which appears on maps as "Columbia, Maryland"?

Yep - not sure if you were friendly with any of the staff, etc, but the owners of Scruffy's have already opened a new place in the neighborhood - Lansdowne Road, on 10th Ave between 43rd and 44th, and a few of the staff have moved over there, I think. Nice place, but a bit too slick for my liking - there is an "ice rail" running the length of the bar.
