Hey Yas,
Glad you made it out alive!! Yes the Japanese shows were fantastic and I wish we could have another go next week.. the crowds were all good fun, no fighting that I saw, Shane never missed a note, Spider bashed out a couple of silver trays on his head.. great fun all around!
I have some photos that I will post on the Shane forum for anyone that is interested.. Special thanks to my American friend (Christian) :) , Spider, NJK and RD for making a week never to forget.. DZM we can catch up next time you make it Tokyo.. sorry to hear about your camera!

We had a wonderful time. It was great to feel so welcome again in Japan after so many years.

Thanks to Yas, Sunny, Bang-Joe, HolySpook, DZM, Hichiko (our interpreter), Smash, WSM and everyone else who took time to say hello, have a picture taken or who just plain helped make our trip run smoothly. Everything moved so fast that I personally did not always have as much time as I would have liked to stop and chat (and I had a new Radiators album to write whenever time allowed!) but my warmest regards go to you all. :)

Wow! Thanks for the reviews, folks, and great pics, DzM! Nice to see everyone's still in fine form.
Now, please please please, guys, venture over to North America? I won't be fussy, any location will do - but somewhere on the East Coast would be lovely!

Thanks The band, Kirk, Hide and Yas or people I met!

I'm now back to London (so I missed wonderful show in Fuji Rock Fes' though..) and will be in Japan when the Pogues comes back again (sorry, my mum & dad!)
I believe it's not too far in the future!

Great pics, Shane ans Spider looks utterly cool on stage even now, and hasn't he lost weight, I was looking though some of the pics from Christmas you tend to forget how much he has lost in such a short space of time until you look at those pics and compare them with these ones.

Shane looks a bit like Willy Wonka in the one with the glasses

the colour of Shane's suit made me think of Van Morrison's outfit in The Last Waltz. Maybe the Pogues should make some new fashion-statements when playing Spain...

Great pics, thanks for posting them!

Shane really has lost weight - seems like he's gone up and down a few times the last couple of years. And oh, that is some suit. After reading James' vivid descriptions of it, it's something to see it in all its, uh, glory.

no way the Fuji crowd was 7000! There were 7000 at the front. 20,000 plus going all the way to the back of the field. 8)
