The Brouges

Post Fri Aug 05, 2005 12:33 pm

I E-Mailed The Brouges (a Pogues tribute band) about doing to show in London for my son’s 18th birthday, but they E-Mailed me back saying it would cost between £600 and £800 plus accommodation. Is that a rip off or is that the going rate? For tribute bands? Are they any good, I like The Pogues but I won’t be ripped off.

That's way overpriced for a coverband. Our (Finnegan's Lads) price at this moment is € 200,-, but for international trips I think we should ask some more.

I have seen the brogues twice and thought they where exceptional! You could shut your eyes at one of their gigs and think that you where seeing the pogues themself: They did not pay me to say that by the way!

And when MacRua throws a little acid into the mix - well, it's Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
