Video of Shane recording with Dropkicks

Post Wed Aug 03, 2005 2:35 pm

Ive never really been into their music but stumbled upon their website and watched their Bio video. About 6 minutes into the video they show a bit of Shane recording in the studio with them. He looks like hes having a hell of a time which is always nice to see....check out the link. The video is at the bottom of the page. http://www.dropkickmurphys.com/biography/index.html

that's a great story about the rats at the bottom of the Guinness vats... hadn't heard that one!

I have an old Napster mp3 of Shane and the DMs singing Shane's old song, Vengeance. It's a really good version. I haven't found it on any singles or albums yet. Does anyone know when it was released? I'd like to find an old copy.

maybe I missed something. Are you sure Shane is on this recording of Vengeance? I have the compilation with DMs doing Vengeance, but I don't think Shane is on it.

Yes, Shane is definitely on the mp3 track. I have a DM CD with Vengeance, but Shane's not on it. I haven't found the Shane version on vinyl or CD yet, not sure when it was done.

Did anyone out there upload the mp3 to (old) Napster? Kufen, do you have it?

Coop, I came home and listened to the track again, and now I don't think it's Shane. It's someone trying to sound like Shane. :( I guess whoever named it thought it was Shane. (can't be sure with mp3s) A different version than that on the CD, and a good one, but not as good as it could have been.

well, that's what the forum is for....
