Given that I didn't see your material, I'm in no place to judge how others received it. What I see of your interaction with Noonan seems to indicate that Noonan was trying though.

An important thing to remember about creative expression is that not everybody will understand your point, and others may misunderstand it entirely. So what? Don't let the bastards keep you down.

To paraphrase a famous adage: One man's art is another man's belly laugh.

i know and understand that, which is why i will not discontinue my writing the least bit. i am very self-concsious of it any way and rarely show any of it to any one, and i'd prefer to keep it that way if all i will recieve is negative feedback. so wax my balls!
Goddammit boy! Only quitters quit! Now suck it up, walk off that broken ankle, and get back out there GODDAMMIT!

i'm telling my mom!

You've made me blush, now!
I think you're cool, too!
*produces small posy, coyly offers it to Amy, sorry, Viola!

What's with that? That "Viola" business?
Can't I call you Amy anymore?

I like "Amy"!

And it's too late to alter this tattoo........

*shyly accepts posy. positions it safely behind right ear*

viola was my grandmama's name, and so as a way to honour her memory, I call myself that too. violet is the name of my daughter, should I be bless to have one at some undetermined point in time. and so my moniker is a salute to souls that represent both my past, as well as my future.

but by all means, address me as amy if you like. i shouldn't complain. it's much better than dolores.

and you don't fool me. i know that that 'tattoo' was written in dry erase marker.....

btw- what has become the cottage hospital bulletin ??? deep in the red is it ????

"the evil that men do"

slick as the oil neath our fingers
i watch that mouth of yours spout out orders
but your blood is safe, cozy and warm
the ancient soil half a world away
will never absorb your life
but through a hundred other lives that it claims
you own is slowly taken away
sleep well.....
i know that you would like me, if only you could see me.....

Cottage Hospital Bulletin

Post Fri Jun 25, 2004 11:04 pm

....The mighty "Bulletin" is not dead; Merely dormant.
I may, however, due to my own bloody stupidity, have lost the rights to it's name. (Don't ask. Tell you en privado).
So 'Great Britain's premier postmodern magazine' may have to reappear under it's 'Sunday' name, "Field Medic"
(That 'un's DEFINITELY still mine..)

Will you be it's 'US Editor'?

well in all honesty, i just wrote that off the top of my head. i could continue if you want, though i get the feeling that it could end up sounding like an a anarchic cry for Bush's head on a stick ala Lord Of the FLies.

Yes, continue!
Should be 3 stanzas, equal length and metre, in all. So, that's 1 more along the 'how do you sleep' lines, then a final, damning denoument (is that the right word? Think so..)
It will rule! I aint known you long, but I know that's your strong suit right there, you're on familiar ground.....

dig?

Oh yes, almost forgot.
While I'm on, your sig., should I know it? Have come to cherish your sigs, they're like a little mini-museum of indie!
Was distressed to see yer latest was unfamiliar!

Am I mental?
