theyre like the pogues in that they take traditional melodies and sounds
and give them a new sound
in this case heavy metal...

personally i think theyre shite
but they deserve recognition on a pogues forum for sure

Finntroll are a decent band who make decent heavy music.

They´re not bad, but I prefer finnish band Korpiklaani. Their latest CD, "Tervaskanto", is a great album.

I suppose they are a "plain" metal band !? What I like about Finntroll and Korpiklaani is that they mix metal with folk. I´m not so much into "proper" metal.

Have been a BIG Finntroll fan for some years now, though I haven't got the most recent cd.

Very Metal (which, along with Folk, is where I started out), but they have that undefinable "something" which makes you wont to stomp along to their "oompah" inspired metal...
Stand up and fight, and I'll stand up with you
