The best Pogues support I ever saw was a really weird Scottish duo called Nyah Fearties in France. I hear they are back together under a new name, anyone else know anything about this?

Any support would be better then Alabama 3, (Main support at Guilfest) but The Dubliners (Fairly unlikely) would be good, but maybe a word in the right ears Mr Chevron

are the Dubliners still worth seeing? They're playing in Graz in a few weeks and I wonder if it's worth the trip considering Luke Kelly's great voice being silenced forever and Ronnie Drew not playing with them anymore.

and it's true - Alabama 3 seemed rather pathetic at Guilfest.

They sure are. Ok it's a shame there's no Ronnie etc, but they're still great musicians. Saw them a few months back. See them if you get the chance.

Nice one Duncan! Looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do by the amount of albums I can find online!

RollingStone.com:
"Backstage at the Warped Tour, Dropkick Murphys singer Al Barr shared his holiday plans: He and the band are heading to England to play some shows with the Pogues. The last time the two groups shared a stage was in London with the late Joe Strummer, at one of his final shows. "Joe was amazing," Barr said. "He opened with like eight Clash songs and I had tears coming down my face. Then we sat on the stage with Joe, drank wine and watched the Pogues play" . . ."

Oh christ that will be a show, wonder if The Pogues, will move around the set-list (not there anything wrong withit now) i.e Dark Streets Of London, Kitty (I think there should be a fans protest to get Kitty on the set-list.)
