Just wondered if anyone here has heard the song Mojo Nixon wrote about our favourite rock 'n roll paddy, or rather, his dentist. If you haven't I've uploaded it to yousendit.com just especially for you. ( not sure if it'll work though, my email address appears in the link which makes me think they've added a feature to stop pricks like me sharing a file with a load of random people but you can always try it )

The song is really only one line repeated but it's fairly amusing. Not a good intro to Mojo Nixon's stuff. That introduction you're going to have to find for yourself, you really should though the guy is up there with Macgowan, Waits and umm weird al Yankovic as one of my all time favourite musicians. Try the album 'the real sock ray blue' or 'whereabouts unknown' for his best. (plus you may just recognise the melody of one song on the sock ray blue album.)

Oh yes and legality being an issue probably here, it should be said that Mojo Nixon fully supports the free download of his stuff over the internet. There's an statement he made for just this kind of occasion somewhere on this damned internet thingy but this is is the closest thing to it I can find right now

Yes, love Mojo. I have been a big fan since I discovered his first LP with Skid Roper at the college radio station. I have seen him live 4 times. The last time was in Austin, TX at the Continental Club. My brothers band was opening for him so we got there early and Mojo pulled up his van in back and starting carrying his equipment in. I offered to help, so I guess I can say I worked as a roadie for Mojo... Later while in the pisser, Mojo was next to me so I told him about the time I was tripping on mushrooms and after his show in Boulder, CO I stole a shirt from him. Mojo had this big pile of used auto mechanic shirts with patchs sewed on that said "Mojo" above one pocket and "Mushroom Mania" above the other. The shirts were just thrown in a big crumpled pile so you had to search to find your size. My buddy and I each had one on and looked at each other and with out saying a word (we had that psilocybin connection going on) we just walked away without paying. Well, when we got done pissing Mojo grabbed me by the shoulders, pushed me up against the wall and shouted "I want my money for my shirt". I told him I would buy one of his new shirts for sale, so he smiled and we parted ways.
