When I was a kid I used to think that all famous people were tiny. It was the only way they could fit into the TV.

When I was a kid I thought my grandparents lived in a world that was black and white as it was in the photos.

I know the Daily Telegraph pride themselves on honest obituaries, but I thought this one was a classic:

In work last week, the christmas do was announced.

The bosses are paying for everyone to go to Amsterdam on the 15th December, which is the Saturday that the Pogues play Manchester, which means that thankfully I can't go. :D

To be honest is it wise to watch your workmates make arseholes out of themselves? I think not. I heard the stories about last year when they paid for everyone to go to Barcelona and quite frankly some of them were embarrassing.

What is scary is the head of my department is going and I believe he acts like an idiot when he's pissed.

I've definitely opted for the better deal.

Nothing wrong with making an ass of yourself at the work Christmas Do. Thankfully my staff a very supportive of me. They always support me into the taxi.

Last year's company staff Christmas do was on a riverboat on the Thames. I don't think the powers-that-be will do that again.
