Are you going in costume? Last year about half the crowd was in costume.

Fantastic evening last night. Bellowhead are a simply great live act. Haven't danced and sung so much in ages.

And... I've just got tickets to see the glorious Patti Smith and her band. In the venue just down the road. Can't quite believe it.

Just found out Hank Williams III is playing the Chameleon, the punk-rock club in Lancaster PA *, tomorrow night. I think my Sweetie & I are gonna go.

I'm psyched for the Hellbilly stuff...less so the Assjack stuff, but we'll see.

Anybody here ever see ol' III?

Opening act Those Poor Bastards sound entertaining too.

I think he's terrific, but I despair of this dividing himself into two. Bring on the Assjack Hellbillies and screw the purists. Grandpa paid no mind, I'm surprised li'l Hank does.

Had a chance to see him at the Continental Club in Austin Texas, quite by accident. What is incredible is the crowd. You have hard core punk rockers with safety pins coming out of every orifice and old Texans with cowboy hats standing in line at the beginning. Fantastic show either way. The first half of his show he plays his grandpa's stuff and absolutely NO pop country music, true musician. At the second part of the show, they seemed to know and the old people cleared out and the punkers rushed the "stage" (if you have ever been to the continental club you'll know why I put the word stage in quotes). We (ClashCadillac and I) stayed through the second half, it was fun -- we're not into mosh pitting, but the energy of the show from the back row was fantastic -- Enjoy the show O'Blivion -- I truly appreciate every post you do on "On this Date", they are facsinating.

Loved Hank III. During the first set there was this guy doing the heavy metal head bob with his arm in the air like "Beavis and Butthead" and having not listened to Hank III prior to the show, I am thinking to myself this guy is totally out of his element. Then Hank comes out and does his "Hillbilly Heavy Metal" set and the puzzle pieces fell into place.

Both sets were very high enegy and I would classify Hank III as a "must see". I think he was wearing a Misfits t-shirt when we saw him.
