Well, yeah. I only didn't include those specifically because they were released on an official album, or at least, an EP. I'm talking the stuff from the singles and (promos?). Stuff that wasn't good enough supposedly, or which didn't fit in with the vision of the album, or which had to be cut, 'cause there wasn't enough room on the vinyl pressings (some songs were added to CD versions etc.)

I feel inspired now to go to my fav used shop and see what's kicking around.

Later,

All the b sides, non-album singles and the Poguetry EP have now been added to their corresponding albums on the Dec 04 CDs which were released in the UK. It is still the plan to release these in North America at some point, but there is still contract stuff to resolve.

There do exist outtakes from some of the albums, as well as demos made in the preparation of those albums and so on, as well as things like "Haunted", "Hot Dogs With Everything" "Got A Lotta Livin' To Do" and "In And Out". It is still our plan to do a box set collecting up the best of these bits and pieces, but after such a flurry of activity from our record company in the past year, I doubt they'll get to this until 2006.

got it, got it, got it. Love Hotdogs w/ everything, was dissapointed it wasn't on the Sid & Nancy soundtrack reissue. Got a Lot of Lovin' to do is/was surprisingly amazing, Irish Ways is an all-time favorite, as is For The Children. I was happy to find a 7" of the two with picture sleeve some time ago to store away with my LILT CD.

Phil, what could you tell us about In & Out from the Garbo soundtrack. When asked, apparently, Shane didn't remember it, or recognise it.

Headed out a little while ago to the used-music store I frequent here, hopeing to find the Ultimate Collection disc 'cause they often bring in specialty interest stuff, but they were closed. I headed over to HMV at the mall because I was out. They had it there, though it wasn't listed as an import, it was priced like an import $39.99 CAD. Ouch! I passed for the time being. I was gonna grab IISFFGWG reissue and RS&tL reissue for only a fraction of the price of the other, but I'll wait until I have more cash in my pockets. I already have about five slightly different pressings of RS&tL plus vinyl as it is.

Went back to the shop. No Ultimate Collection, but they did have the reissues at a better price.

I left them there for the time being, and grabbed a second mint copy of the original Canadian MCA Poguetry In Motion for $6.99

Had Essential for a few bucks too. I'll have to grab it again some time.

I've already had two copies (it was actually the first Pogues CD I bought). I've since lost the first one all together, and the case to the second one. *shrug*.

Hot Asphalt was written by Ewan MacColl.

I think I remember Mr C talking about it being released next year. That was one year ago. I hope it wasn't abandoned and I hope it's better than the recently released Band box set (half empty dvd...).
