MacGowan in Bham again

Post Wed Jun 15, 2005 8:23 pm

I just looked at the official MacGowan site and saw this

http://www.shanemacgowanofficialtourdat ... tourdates/

So gig is to feature MacGowan and NOT the Popes even though theyARE playing with him in Manc the next day? Who is gonna be his backing band then? Very strange indeed.

MacGowan in Bham again

Saw the same thing myself earlier today and emailed them for an explanation. To my surprise, I got a reply within the hour from Liz, saying that Shane WILL be playing with the Popes in Birmingham (and presumably in Glasgow too, although she didn't make this clear).

Yeah it's just sloppy colour coding on the part of whoever updates the site! Been going on since it started. Colour blindness? All dates backed by the Popes.

For anyone in that area, you should get yourself a B n' B hang around for Steve Earle the next night!!

p.s. Is Shane and The Popes 'confirmed' for next Paddys Day at Shepherds Bush, I'd love to go to that gig again.
